Enabling the software cursor eliminates this issue. When this issues happens, the position that the cursor appears at after letting go of LMB is NOT as far along the cursor trail as the last visible location of the cursor was.Įdit4: Found a workaround: FFXIV introduced a software cursor at some point recently. ![]() If I were moving the cursor bottom to top then I would get an up-close view of my character's chest looking up from the floor.Įdit3: Something else I noticed: There is a cursor trail in FFXIV. Instantly the camera will jump to a top down view of my character. I click LMB halfway through the movement. The camera angle is parallel to the ground facing my character, and I'm moving my cursor top to bottom. These results are in alignment with the poster in the 3rd thread that I linked.Įdit2: Also note that the camera jump always goes in the direction that the mouse was moving. If I release LMB/RMB while the cursor is moving then things are fine. If the cursor is stationary when LMB/RMB is pressed then things are fine. Jumpiness only occurs for me when I depress LMB or RMB while the cursor is already moving (even very slightly) Other threads discussing this issue (not comprehensive):Įdit: I did a little bit more testing with FFXIV and it appears that: My setup works fine without jitters in FPS games (I've tested w/ Borderlands). However, after reviewing other threads the issue does not seem to be related to OS or mouse hardware. ![]() Personally I'm experiencing this streaming from Windows 8.1 host to Windows 8.1 client with a wireless mouse attached to the client. I'm experiencing this issue with Final Fantasy XIV, but after reviewing the other threads it seems it affects all MMOs. This is still an issue as of the latest stable release (). I'm resurrecting this thread because it has the latest Valve response to this issue and I'm hoping to get some kind of update. NOTE: If you don't wanna read to the bottom.I found a workaround for FFXIV: enabling the software cursor makes this issue go away for me.
